Rain Window

A window on a rainy night: drops bead and slide down the glass, with optional rain sound and full screen.

How to use

  1. Watch the drops, or press Play for rain sound.
  2. Use full screen on a second monitor or TV.
  3. Set a sleep timer if you are winding down.

Good to know

Everything is drawn live on a canvas, so the scene never repeats exactly and there is no video to buffer.

If moving images bother you, your system’s reduced-motion setting makes the drops almost still.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is recorded, stored on a server or tracked, and there are no ads here.

Questions

Can I use it as a background on a second screen?

Yes. Open it in full screen; the controls fade when you stop moving the mouse on most screens.

Does it use a lot of battery?

It animates continuously, so on a laptop battery it uses more power than the sound-only Rain Sounds page.
