This policy explains how sassamahha.me and the projects run by Jun Sasaki (“Sassa Mahha”, “we”) handle information. It covers this website and our project tools, including Hakoniwa Maze.
Our pages are static and do not require an account. We do not ask for your name or email on this site. Our hosting and network providers (such as Cloudflare) may process standard technical information, like your IP address, country and browser type, to deliver and protect the site. Book links (/books/go/) send you to the Amazon store of your country. To choose the store, our server looks up the country of your IP address in a local copy of the free DB-IP country database (IP Geolocation by DB-IP); your IP address is not sent to any other service and is not stored. We keep an anonymous click count: the time, the country code, the book and the store, without your IP address. We do not run our own analytics or tracking scripts.
The free tools (/tools/), the Calm pages (/calm/) and their language versions run in your browser. Files, text, images, audio and calendar data you use in them are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Some tools ask for your camera or microphone (for example, the webcam test, microphone test, tuner and vocal range check). The browser asks for your permission first. The camera image and sound are analysed only on your device; we do not record, store or send them. Recordings you make in the microphone test stay in your browser until you leave the page.
To remember small preferences, such as your language, timer color or sound settings, and whether you closed a message, we use your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device, is not sent to us and can be cleared in your browser settings.
Some tool pages show ads served by Google AdSense. Pages without ads include the timer player screens, the Calm pages and Hakoniwa Maze.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Depending on your region, you may be asked for consent before such cookies are used.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Hakoniwa Maze uses an internal tool that connects to Google’s YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API through Google OAuth. Only the operator signs in to this tool, and only with Google accounts that own or manage our own YouTube channels. It is not offered to the public.
What we access: the authorized channel’s basic information, our own uploaded videos and their metadata, and aggregate statistics for our own channels (such as views and watch time).
How we use it: to upload our maze videos; to set titles, descriptions, thumbnails and publishing schedules; and to review our channels’ performance to plan future videos. We use no other Google user data.
Storage: OAuth tokens and statistics are kept privately on the operator’s own computer and are not placed on this website or any public server.
Sharing: we do not sell, rent or share Google user data with anyone. We do not use it for advertising and do not use it to train AI models.
Limited Use: our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access: access can be removed at any time from Google Account › Third-party connections. When access is revoked or no longer needed, we delete the stored tokens.
Our use of YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Some pages load content from other services: Google Fonts for typefaces and Google Translate on the home page. The Ko-fi support panel on the home page is loaded from Ko-fi only when you open it. These services receive standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, when your browser loads them. When you leave this site for YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok, Gumroad, Amazon, Buy Me a Coffee or other services, their own privacy policies apply.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children on this site.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
